Titre: '' Shining a light on atmospheric surfaces: heterogeneous photochemistry at water, ice and grime surfaces ''
Endroit : Pavillon Roger-Gaudry, salle S-142
Heure : 11:00 AM
Hôte : Professeur Patrick Hayes
Résumé : Traditionally, atmospheric chemistry has concentrated on reactions taking place in the gas phase, or within liquid droplets suspended in the atmosphere. However, the boundaries between the gas phase and liquids or solids in contact with the atmosphere possess very different (and chemically rich) environments from the surrounding bulk phases. I will present some recent work from my research group that has concentrated on characterizing such interfaces and studying the photochemical processes that occur there.
