Conférence de la Professeure Mary Watson (Delaware)

Titre : Transition Metal Catalysis of Non-Traditional Electrophiles.

Cette conférence sera prononcée (en anglais) par la Professeure Mary Watson, du Département de chimie et de biochimie de la University of Delaware.

Résumé : We will present our research on the development of transition-metal catalyzed reactions employing non-traditional electrophiles. We have developed enantioselective, copper-catalyzed alkynylations of oxocarbenium ion intermediates, which enable efficient access to highly enantioenriched oxygen heterocycles with alpha stereogenic centers. We have also identified reaction conditions for enantiospecific, nickel-catalyzed cross couplings of amine- and alcohol-derived alkyl electrophiles. The optimization and scope of these transformations will be discussed, along with our mechanistic and stereochemical hypotheses and supporting experiments.
