Conférence du Professeur Paramjit Arora (NYU)

Titre : Plucking the High Hanging Fruit: A Systematic Approach for Targeting Protein-Protein Interactions.
La conférence sera prononcée par le professeur Paramjit Arora du Département de chimie de New York University. Elle sera donnée en anglais.
Résumé : Proteins often utilize small folded domains for recognition of other biomolecules. The basic hypothesis guiding our research is that by mimicking these domains we can modulate the function of a particular protein with metabolically stable synthetic molecules. This presentation will discuss methods to synthesize alpha-helix mimetics and their potential to target intracellular protein-protein interactions. A computational approach to identify suitable protein complexes as targets for stabilized helices will also be described.
